My husband and I went to a bookstore and found this woodburning (pyrography) book by Sue Walters and it had this amazing wolf picture in it. I wanted to do this soooooooo bad, but didn't have a piece of wood big enough for it. Well we went to go see my parents one weekend and my mom said that she thought dad may have some extra boards laying around that he wasn't going to use for anything and if he did, then I could have them. WOOHOO he had 3 big boards!!!!! I was a kid in a candy store lol couldn't wait to get home and see what I could do with this wolf that I wanted to do so badly. Well, Sue Walters has nothing to worry about from me, but for as little experience as I have in this right now, I think it turned out pretty darned good!!!
This is still a work in progress, but I have two pictures of it so far.
I am still needing to figure out how to bring the wolf out more, because right now it just seems so distant. But believe me heh I am working on trying to figure it out!!

This is the first draft of the wolf. not much shading done in it. I guess you would say the rough burn.

This is the shaded in version of the wolf. It's turning out pretty good, I just gotta figure out how to bring her out more. But I do love how the limb turned out!! now that dark spot next to her butt is a rock lol you can't really tell it but it is hehe
